Frequently asked questions

How do I import a script?

Tap the + button on the Scripts tab. You can paste text directly, import a .txt file, or attempt extraction from a PDF. After import, review the lines on the cleanup screen — fix any formatting issues — then assign your character.

How do I set my character?

Open a script, tap Set Character, and choose your character name from the list parsed from your script. All lines for that character are highlighted in gold and become your practice lines.

What are the rehearsal modes?

Does Loci work offline?

Yes. Scripts, lines, audio, and progress are all stored on your device. You can rehearse on a plane, on set, anywhere — no Wi-Fi needed. Data syncs to your account when you reconnect.

Why does Weak Spots say "no weak lines found"?

Weak Spots requires at least one practice session with actual misses recorded. Run a few sessions of Run Lines or Memorize and rate some lines as Missed or Close — then Weak Spots will populate automatically.

How do I delete a script?

Swipe left on the script in the Scripts list and tap Delete. This removes the script and all associated progress data from your device.

The AI scene partner voice isn't playing

The first time a line plays, it requires an internet connection to generate the audio. After that, it's cached locally. If you're offline on the first listen, connect to Wi-Fi or mobile data and try again.

Self Tape isn't recording

Make sure you've granted Loci permission to access your camera and microphone. Go to your iPhone Settings → Loci → enable Camera and Microphone.
