Overview

Loci ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your information.

Data we collect

Loci collects only the minimum data needed to provide the service:

Account information — your email address when you create an account.
Script and rehearsal data — the scripts you import and your practice history (line ratings, mastery scores, session results). This data is stored on your device and optionally synced to our servers so you can access it across devices.
Audio cache — generated audio for partner lines is cached locally on your device using AWS Polly. We do not store your voice recordings.
Self Tape recordings — video recordings made in Self Tape mode are saved directly to your device Camera Roll. We do not upload or store video files.
Usage data — basic anonymised analytics (e.g. which features are used). No personally identifiable information is included.

How we use your data

To provide and improve the Loci service.
To sync your scripts and progress across your devices (if you are signed in).
To generate partner-line audio via AWS Polly (line text is sent to AWS; it is not stored by AWS beyond the request).

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We do not share your personal information with third parties except:

Supabase — our backend database provider. Your account and rehearsal data is stored in their infrastructure under our account.
AWS — line text is sent to AWS Polly to generate audio. AWS processes this data per their standard terms.
Legal requirements — if required by law.

Offline use

Loci is designed to work fully offline. Scripts, lines, audio, and progress are stored on your device. You can use Loci without an internet connection; data syncs when you reconnect.

Data retention and deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at support.lociapp@gmail.com. Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app.

Children's privacy

Loci is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EU or California, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us at support.lociapp@gmail.com to exercise these rights.
